Position Summary

Be the person who keeps PTD moving. We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and detail-focused Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Clerk to play a key role in the heartbeat of our operation. From receiving critical materials to organizing inventory, packaging finished products, and supporting accurate shipments, this position is essential to keeping our team on track and our customers satisfied.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, tooling, supplies, and outside service returns accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, packing slips, certifications, and the condition of incoming items.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, paperwork, and coordination with carriers.
  • Package finished parts and materials to ensure safe, accurate, and professional delivery to customers and vendors.
  • Organize raw material, components, and finished goods so inventory is easy to identify, locate, and transact.
  • Perform periodic inventory counts and assist with cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy checks.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, discrepancies, or replenishment needs to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of receipts, shipments, inventory transactions, and related documentation using company systems and paperwork.
  • Support traceability and documentation requirements in a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, quality, and leadership to keep materials and jobs moving efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shipping, receiving, and inventory area.
  • Assist with general stockroom, material handling, and inventory organization activities as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to material flow, organization, and inventory control.

Qualifications – Required

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, stockroom, warehouse, or manufacturing support.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with part numbers, documentation, inventory systems, and changing priorities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Experience with ERP, inventory, or shipping software.
  • Forklift or material handling experience.
  • Manufacturing, aerospace, or quality-system experience.
  • Prior exposure to packaging standards or customer-specific shipping requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and involves regular interaction with incoming materials, finished goods, inventory storage locations, and production support functions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move materials throughout the workday, and safely lift or handle packages and inventory items consistent with job demands.
