The Role

PTD is seeking a confident, efficient person to fill this important role in our deburring department.

The focus of this position is to work within the deburring department preparing parts for final inspection and shipment. Must be able to stay focused for long periods of time and move between specialized tasks as needed. This person must be diligent, serious, and take accountability for the accuracy and completeness of their work. Always working to achieve the goals of the department and company.

The pace for this position may be unassuming and often faster than meets the eye. Each day is different from the next, and will require switching between tasks based on department priorities. Attention to detail is a critical aspect of the job. As time is always a factor, the work must be done efficiently, accurately, and completely. This is a position where established guidelines, structure, and policies must be followed closely. The successful candidate will be a valued member of our team who performs an important role within the deburring department, reporting directly to the production manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Deburring complex aerospace parts to customer drawings and specifications
  • Creating/maintaining surface finishes and critical burr free sharp edges on complex aerospace parts to meet drawing or specification requirements
  • Washing parts
  • Hand tapping/chasing threaded holes

Your Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawing requirements as applicable to surface finish and break edge requirements
  • High visual acuity and strong attention to detail
  • High School graduate or GED
  • 3+ years of experience; preferably in a fast-paced medical or aerospace manufacturing environment
